Our first Volunteering Weekend at KindaVillage !
23rd-25th Feb was our first Volunteering weekend at KindaVillage. Seventeen people attended starting with an arrival and induction on Friday, a time to get to know each other. We were blessed with beautiful sunshine all weekend, highlighting the bliss of this inspiring landscape.
Saturday we started with an optional kindahappy hour for mind and body followed by a communal breakfast, attunement and task distribution. Some chose to cook, do art, others garden and some designed the kindness walk around the lake. Communal lunch was outside in the glorious sunshine, we did a bit more in the afternoon and then had a riverside super which proved a little too chilly for a long stay.
Brainstorming yielded some great ideas for well being, tourism and social impact. We are all looking forward to riding the rapids on rubber rings and host a single dads kart building weekend.
The food was the best of vegetarian and spice, thanks to Adi and Emese for steering that.
Volunteer weekends are now planned monthly with the next event on weekend 9th-11th March. For those wishing to attend a future weekend please complete the application form.
80 acres of Bliss
The first time for most of us to walk the boundary, one beauty spot after the other. A mile-long river boundary neighbouring lush undulating countryside. Ideas were flowing for camping, festivals, amphitheater, tree houses, hobbit homes, eco-workshops and nature hides.
