If you’ve found your way here then you must be interested in finding out more about becoming a part of the team.  First of all, we’d better point out that it won’t be plain-sailing…There’s a lot of work to do at this stage of the development and we need committed, hard-working, people who enjoy being part of a team and who are prepared to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in to help this dream become a reality.  We’d also strongly advise you to take a good look at all the pages of this website and the website of our supporting charity The Missing Kind, and our  social media pages, to understand just who we are and what we do.  Then, if you still feel like you’d like to get involved, why not fill out an application form or give us a call.  Or you can contact smile@kindavillage.org.  We’re a social bunch and we also run regular Skype call sessions with potential volunteers, community members, and social entrepreneurs, so feel free to let us know if you’d like to join us for a chat.  We’re looking forward to finding out more about you already!

There are lots of different ways that you can get involved…

Remote volunteering

If you like working from home, KindaVillage has a whole host of exciting opportunities available for you.  We’re looking for help in a number of different areas, so if you’re passionate about market research, administration, marketing, social media, project activism, merchandise operations, website and graphic design and more then why not get in touch and let us know?!  If those roles don’t appeal to you, but you’d still like to help us, why not check out our other options?  The list goes on!  Alternatively, why not get in touch or fill out an application form if you’re feeling super keen!  We’ll get back to you as soon as we’ve had a good read of it.

Volunteers we need you! Become a Volunteer for KindaVillage

Long term and short term volunteering opportunities available.  Short-term volunteering at the KindaVillage is a great option for those who want to get involved but have time limits.  Whether you’re based locally and can travel daily or from further afield requiring a stop-over period, we can accommodate your needs.  There are various different areas available to you as well, from community operations, housekeeping, cooking, maintenance and building works, to charitable projects, social enterprise support, eco-village development, even site development itself as the dream continues to grow and expand.  So, if you’re really passionate about something that we already do and you’d like to come and support us in that area, we’d love your help!  Or perhaps you’d like to be involved in a training experience in the community, based on one of the aspects of the village.  We’re looking for people to both come along and learn, as well as those who can teach, or maybe you’d like to do both?  We love the idea of a community that shares and grows together and are happy facilitators of skills exchange projects!  To get involved just fill out this form:

Long-term community pioneers

…are invited to join us for the exciting role of establishing the village life and community aspects of KindaVillage.  We extend a warm welcome to you, to let the dust settle and stay a while with us, joining us in living a mindful and contented life among nature, whilst working to build this vision.  If it’s a better tomorrow you’re after, then we can happily offer you a place to drive that lifestyle forwards, for both yourself and the community, as you help us to pioneer its growth.  For those who, after a probationary period, wish to become the primary activists of shaping the village’s evolution and developing into the steering team for KindaVillage, you will receive remuneration, which will operate on a rising scale over time. If you’re interested just get in touch or fill out this form.

We need our live-in community!

Without you there’s no village, so you’re one of the most integral parts of the whole project.  You can become a live-in member as either a working tenant, where you’re able to lease or rent the facilities at KindaVillage and run your own social business, or as a live-in house member here to support community activities and help us maintain and grow the site.  Either way we’d love to hear from you so please tell us a bit about yourself and any ideas you have by completing the application form:

Be the Pioneer and shape the future of KindaVillage

There’s so much going on in KindaVillage at the moment and we’re still so busy with the development stage, so this is a great time to get involved and help us to shape the future of this community!

Whether you want to dive right in by coming to occupy and develop the site, or you just want to lend us a few hours of your time here and there, we’d love to hear from you!

All you need is a positive mindset to help us in sharing the KindaVillage vision and an enjoyment in collaborating on projects.  It’s as simple as that!

Come and get involved in establishing the operations, setting up the support social enterprises, impacting the local community with positivity and having purposeful fun.  If you’ve got the passion and right work ethic we’ll find a place for you in our KindaVillage.

So just get in touch and let’s share in a better future by creating this legacy project together
